To the general public, we offer a well-rounded program which provides the framework needed to succeed in any phlebotomy jobs desired. To our institutional partners (hospitals, clinics, private practices, home health agencies, labs and blood banks, etc.), we provide onsite, customizable, specialty specific, phlebotomy training of professional staff.
Lab Team Assistants’ phlebotomy training is nationally credentialled by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) which in turn is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) – this simply means that our phlebotomy training program meets all standards required for allowing our students to sit for the national exam and becoming certified upon completion of the course.
Our Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) program is designed to teach the technical and procedural aspects of basic phlebotomy. It includes theory and hands-on instruction. The course teaches students the concepts of Phlebotomy & Infection Control, Legal Issues in Healthcare, Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology with emphasis placed on the Circulatory System, Phlebotomy Equipment & Supplies, Phlebotomy (Venipuncture) Procedures and Fundamentals. This short-term program is designed for individuals desiring to enter the healthcare field as well as those looking to enhance their current skill set by becoming a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.
